There is Always a Way Forward.
Are you facing a situation right now where you honestly do not see a way out? The stress at work feels unmanageable. Maybe your marriage feels heavy or distant.
Perhaps you are worried about your children and the choices they are making. Maybe you are exhausted from trying to feel better, and nothing has changed.
No matter what your present circumstance is, no matter how hard it feels or how blocked the path looks, there is still a way forward.
I can look back on so many seasons in my life when I felt completely stuck because I was trying to do everything on my own. I thought I knew what was best for my child. I thought I knew what my husband should do. I thought I knew what was best for my career. I thought I knew all the quick fixes that would finally make me feel better.
But every time, I came up empty-handed, frustrated, and unsure of how to fix any of it. I want you to know this today: there is always a way. It may not come quickly, and it may not look anything like what you expect. It may take time, and you may have to walk through deep waters, but if you do not give up, God will part the sea.
God has a plan for your life, and it is a plan for good. Your breakthrough may be closer than you realize. You may be standing right on the edge of the very thing you have been praying for. Do not give up before you see it.
God’s ways are not our ways, and often our struggles become the very place where growth and transformation begin.
Luke 5:18–19 says, “Some men were bringing on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed, and they tried to carry him in and lay him before Jesus. But finding no way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him with his stretcher through the tiles into the midst, in front of Jesus.”
From the ground, there was no way. But from above, a way appeared.
What might be in front of you that you cannot see because of the crowd? What way might you be missing? What opportunity might God be inviting you to consider? With God, there is always a way. And yes, it can happen to you.
The thoughts that lead to anxiety, fear, doubt, and overwhelm are often thoughts we have unknowingly trained our minds to believe by conforming to the patterns of this world. But when we begin replacing those lies with God’s truth, our minds can be renewed, and our perspective can change. We start seeing what has been there all along.
If we keep thinking the way we always have, we will keep living the way we always have.
Isaiah 55:8–9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Allow this truth to settle into your heart today. Let it reshape how you see your situation and what you believe is possible when you trust God.
How is this devotional speaking to you today?
