You are Extraordinary!
We are all created uniquely in God’s image, and when you really stop to think about that, it is incredible. Out of all the people in the world, there is no one exactly like you.
Not one person shares your exact DNA, your exact story, or your exact heart. That makes you extraordinary. I used to feel average. Actually, let me be honest, I used to feel less than average. I filled my mind with thoughts about who I thought I should be, what I should look like, how happy I should act, and who I should try to impress. Somewhere along the way, I lost myself. I lost sight of who God created me to be.
Maybe you can relate. So often, the reason we feel average, or even less than, is that we are constantly comparing ourselves to everyone else’s talents and abilities. We scroll through social media and think we should be happier, more talented, prettier, or more put-together. I remember when I was younger, comparison felt like second nature.
I would look at how many friends others had and feel like I fell short. I would look at their families and think mine was not good enough. I would look at their gifts and abilities and feel completely unqualified.
I may not have known better then, but because of Jesus and what He did for me, I know better now. And you can too, because He is your Jesus. God loved us so deeply that He sent His one and only Son to die so you could have eternal life and understand just how extraordinary you genuinely are.
God created you for a purpose, on purpose. You do not have to live one more day feeling less than. It is time to stop the comparison game. There is only one you, so there is no one to compare yourself to except the person you were yesterday. Grow from her. Learn from her. Become stronger than she was.
God did not give you this life so you would constantly feel inadequate or measure your calling against someone else’s. You must believe there is a space for you in this world that no one else can fill. Otherwise, you would not be here. Your happiness is closely tied to your ability to see your unique blueprint and embrace who God created you to be. It is time to begin unraveling the lies you may have believed about yourself for far too long. What a beautiful life you have been given. Seek His will, not your own.
You can move from feeling less than to knowing you are extraordinary. You can stop comparing your lowest moments to someone else’s highlight reel. You can rest in the truth that you were beautifully and wonderfully made. You can seek your purpose and begin living fully in the design God created just for you.
Second Thessalonians 1:11 reminds us, “So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of His call. May He give you the power to conduct all the good things your faith prompts you to do.”
I am praying this prayer for you. Keep believing. Keep seeking your Jesus. Hit reply and tell me one way you are extraordinary. I genuinely want to know.
With love and encouragement,
Robin
